Collect your mail throughout the day and process them in batches rather than franking small quantities every now and then.
Do not power-off your machine in between but let it go into stand-by mode itself.
Avoid using the manual cartridge cleaning function unless it is really necessary.
Do not anyhow cut the power but switch you machine off properly. Your machine will move the printhead into parking position to prevent the cartridges from drying up.
